I tried my very first canning venture ever and did your dandelion jelly recipe. Flavour is ABSOLUTELY fabulous! 1 problem … made jelly needed it to last longer so water bathed it after it was done and in the jars. All pinged and sealed
. Colour awesome, flavour fabulous. However, looks like a small cloudy patch in each jar either at bottom or top of each jar and doesn’t seem to have gotten ” thick” a little runnier than honey consistency. Used 4.5 cups of sugar as well. Any advice and reason? Can it stay on a shelf not fridge if water bathed and sealed?

Hi Nissa, as long as the jars are definitely sealed, they can sit on a shelf. Although I don’t know why you ended up with cloudy patches in the jelly, it won’t matter. And it shouldn’t affect the taste at all. Glad to hear you love the flavour, we do too!
