We started building a shop on our property a few years ago. Since the Gman needs a place he can work on our vehicles and homestead equipment, we decided to build a shop so he wouldn’t have to work outside during the winter.
We’ve come a long way on this project – right now we are staining the boards for siding. The Gman is milling all the window and door trim using his sawmill. Then I get to paint it before he puts it up.
We need to get the siding finished as well as the soffit and fascia boards. Then we can get the final building inspection finished with (hopefully).
Here’s a few pictures of what it will look like. We thought for a long time about the colour of both the boards and the trim. Makes it harder to make a decision because we have that deep green metal roofing.
It is hard to tell from the picture but the trim boards are a very dark grey black colour. They’re not grey and they are not black, they are grey black.
We’re very happy with the colour. It’s different, but we really like it.
I still need to move the other information about the Shop over here, but if you would like to read about our building it, come on over here. Scroll down the page to the bottom and start reading from there.
