I know it’s kind of early, but we do already have our Christmas bird picked out!
Here he is….we butchered him this morning.
I like using needlenose pliers for getting those last pin feathers out.
At 8.4 pounds,he’ll be great for Christmas Dinner with the kids!
He looks somewhat mottled right now, doesn’t he? That’s normal – we will now chill him in the fridge for 18 to 24 hours. His colouring will even out and he will be ready to pop in the freezer.
